Elsie Bell's Antique Mall is located in the heart of historic downtown Palatka, a north central Florida city that lies between Gainesville/St. Augustine and Jacksonville/Daytona on Hwy. 17/100. Elsie Bell's is home to 24 professional antique dealers whose specialties include Shabby and Cottage style furniture, kitschy kitchen collectibles, 1950's toys & games and plenty of vintage "guy stuff." An old-fashioned candy counter features everything from Nik-L-Nips to Necco wafers, chocolate cigarettes to candy buttons. Referring to Elsie Bell’s as “the anchor store of historic downtown Paltaka,” AAA magazine gave Elsie Bell’s a favorable mention in its issue about rejuvenated downtowns. Reviewers (who shopped anonymously) said they loved the candy counter, the merchandise and the ambience. “It was everything an antique store should be” was the overall sentiment. Thank you, AAA!

On October 1st, Elsie Bell’s Antique Mall began its fourth year in business. Can you believe it? For those who can’t wait for the holidays (count me among them!), the shopping season has begun at Elsie Bell’s Antique Mall! Dealers have brought in their holiday decorations and merchandise. We’ve started our “want” list and every attempt is being made to find that “special something” for your “special someone”. And if our professional shoppers can’t find it for you this month, you may want to think about purchasing an Elsie Bell’s gift certificate. We have ‘em in every denomination and they make great stocking stuffers! It’s the perfect way to let your loved one know that you tried and will keep on trying!

For Dad: vintage tools, fishing gear, cameras, old comic books. For Mom: Depression glass, heirloom ceramics, vintage hats & shoes, art pottery, vintage cookbooks. For kids: sock monkeys, mechanical banks, blocks, teddy bears, classic dolls and books with cool old artwork.

Because antiques lovers are scouring the store for that “blast from the past” gift, Elsie Bell’s dealers are working extra hard to keep their booths stocked with goodies they’re gathered throughout the year. While shopping in historic downtown Palatka, why not have lunch at Jeansonne’s and join us for local activities straight out of “It’s a Wonderful Life”?

And remember, if you have a request for a special item this Christmas, let us know ASAP and we’ll hunt for it. It’s what we do!

As you continue to upgrade your collections, cull out the old stuff and sell it! Booth space costs $2.50/sq. ft. (+10% of sales) and shelf space $2.50/linear foot + 10%).

Know an interested dealer? With Elsie Bell’s offering the only rentable antique mall space in Palatka, please refer potential dealers to us ASAP so they can get a good spot for the upcoming season. As you know, even within the store itself, it’s “location, location, location”!
